Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering editorial board meeting

The 2rd editorial board meeting of Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering was held in Beijing, China, on Dec. 27, 2020. In the context of COVID-19, the journal’s editorial board members from Beijing, and the editorial office staff, about 30 people in total, attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Prof. Zhang Zhaoji , the vice editor-in-chief of the journal. Prof. Zhang Yongshuang, the editor-in-chief of the journal, gave his warm welcome speech. Academician LU Yaoru, Academician Wu Qiang, and Prof. Shi Jiansheng, the previous editor-in-chief, gave their expectations on the journal. Dr. Tu Jun from China Geological Survey announced the list of the second editorial board members. The editorial members listened to the report made by Dr. Hao Ziguo about “How to promote Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering?”

In the discussion session, the board members gave many good suggestions on

reviewing process, contribution solicitations, citation, and so on.

The 2rd editorial board meeting summarized the work before and promoted the work of next year. With the great supports of CGS，IAH-CC and GSC-CH, the guidance of the editorial board, and the common efforts of the editorial office, Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering would strive forward and seek high ranking among the world famous water science journals.
