“Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering” sponsored by the Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences was established in 2013. It is a quarterly journal classified in WOS Zone 3, Scopus Zone 2. The journal charges no publication fees and is fully open access.

In active response to the high-quality development in China's ecological civilization construction, this journal aims to synthesize new insights and achievements in the identification, source apportionment, transport and transformation, and risk control of emerging contaminants in groundwater. To this end, a special issue on “Monitoring, Migration, and Prevention-Control of Emerging Contaminants in Groundwater” will be published.

We invite contributions focusing on high-resolution screening and high-throughput precision monitoring technologies for emerging contaminants, multi-media interfacial behavior and transport-transformation mechanisms, multi-scale numerical simulation and early warning prediction, as well as ecological and health risk assessment and collaborative control strategies.
